🔴 What could cause Anticipatory Anxiety?
- Recent experience of loss.
- Fear of making the right decision.
- Experiencing the unknown. Don’t know what you like or who you are.
- Experiencing changes.
- Work or financial anxiety.
⛳️ Let’s look at some symptoms.
(Different people could experience different conditions.)
- Loss of focus.
- Inability to manage emotions.
- Stumped brain.
- Loss of enjoyment or interest.
- Can’t stay still.
- Muscle stiffness.
- Loss of appetite.
- Sleep trouble.
💗 Let’s look at some at-home remedies.
- Get a good quality sleep and eat your meals at a proper time.
- Do some workouts, but avoid late night exercise!
- Avoid caffeinated drinks.
- When feeling anxious, ask yourself “Is this scenario possible?”
- If ‘no’, tell yourself that and slowly pull yourself back to the present.
- If ‘yes’, make some plans! Even for small tasks.
- Keep telling yourself, “you have done your best at the moment.”
- Talk to a friend or someone experiencing the same situations.
- Try wearing a hair tie around your wrist. When feeling like drifting away, lightly pull and flick the hair tie so your brain will focus back onto your body in the present.
