How to Cope With Freshman Year 🔥

✨ Happy School Day!

More than 2 months have passed, how was it?

Being a freshman must require a lot of adapting.

😆 So, NEXKY will suggest some tips on ‘How to Cope With Freshman Year’ 🌈

  1. Organize Your Life and Work

🗓 Start by noting down due dates and exam dates on a calendar. If any subject requires you to read external readings, then plan which day you want to finish reading by. Doing this, you all will see which days you can reserve for your friends!

  1. Get to Know New Friends

🌟 Having friends make your university life much better. Try getting to know different people from different classes. Go out for food, some relaxation, or a study session!

  1. Talk to Your Old Friends

💓 Meeting so many new people? Do not forget old faces! No one knows us better than they do! If you feel sad or lonely, try hitting them up or meeting them and share each other’s university experience.

  1. Consult With the Professors

🧑‍🏫 It is your first year. There must be many things you do not understand! Do not worry, it is normal. Try asking the professor for help after class. Having a connection with the professors can also make our life better. Think about asking for a reference for internships. If the professor knows you, you are more likely to get one!

  1. Find the Right Study Spot

📚 Whether it is around the campus, Siam, or Bangkok, there are plenty of cafes, libraries, or parks. Each place has its own unique environment. Try out a few and find the right spot for you and your journey for good grades will be much easier!

  1. Find the Right Club

⛳️ There is more to university than just studying. Here, we have lots of student clubs from language to business, religion, volunteering, and more! Try to find the right club for you. Apart from making new friends, working in a club can build your skills preparing you for the real workplace.

  1. Watch Your Spending

💰 Meeting new friends means lots of eating out. And with all the stationery you have to buy, do not forget to keep track of all your expenses. Or else, the end of the month is going to be tough!

  1. Rest

🧘 Work hard, play hard! Do not forget to take care of yourself. Get a good sleep, drink water, and finish your meals. Your physical health is very important.

  1. Seek Help

🥰 Loneliness and stress happen. It is normal for everyone. Having someone who is willing to listen and give advice could be a good thing. Whether it is your friend, advisor, or Chula Student Wellness, they could be a helping hand. We do not need to face it alone every time.
