This month is the month of love so you may see more love than usual. But there is one type of love not everyone may see but is a coming trend amongst pet lovers which is Pet Humanization.🐶🐱

Pet Humanization is the act where pet owners take care of their pets as if they were their children. 💖 Caring for how they treat the pet, finding good food and clothes; let’s just say they splurge on their pets.💸 And no matter where the owner goes, the pet will be their to support.

Pet Humanization is different from just owning a pet where owners gain benefits from them like using pets to guard homes.

Pet Humanization is becoming extremely popular in the 18 to 34 year old group with 75% of them as dog and cat lovers. Additionally, these owners have a 65% chance of getting more pets.📈

Pet Humanization started as a result of more people becoming single and not having any kids. According to a quantitative research from Mahidol University (CMMU) from a sample group of 1,046, 80.7% of pet owners are single and 19/3% are those married. With that, 49% of them say they treat their pets like their own children.

Another reason people may treat their pets as children is due to many countries like Thailand becoming an old society and older people having pets is a great way to combat loneliness.😁
