Thailand has officially entered the rainy season. In this fluctuating weather, Chula students like us should attentively take care of ourselves. Today, NEXKY will introduce some essential items for the rainy season. It is better to have them for peace of mind. Let’s see what’s on the list! ✨
1️⃣ Umbrella ☂️
Umbrella is a necessary item which is useful either on a rainy day or when the sun is blazing. It is portable, comes in various sizes, and is extremely rainproof. It is better to find a bag-sized wind resistant umbrella. Don’t forget to carry your umbrella around, guys.
2️⃣ Raincoat 🧥
For anyone who is unable to bring an umbrella, a raincoat is another great alternative. Raincoats are more compact, portable, easy to come by, and super protective, as it’s called. It can be used to cover ourselves and also our bags from rain. For those carrying both an umbrella and a raincoat, you are double-protected from any sogginess.
3️⃣ Handkerchief / Paper Towel 🧻
Handkerchiefs and paper towels are important items for rainy days which many people may have already carried them around. They are more frequently used in rainy conditions as for drying yourself or any rain-drenched stuff. Therefore, carrying a handkerchief or a paper towel is a must in the rainy season.
4️⃣ Plastic Bag 🛍️
Plastic bag is something many people have looked over, but it is an essential item in the rainy season as it can be used to keep all the wet stuff like socks, outerwear, and others away from dry stuff. Moreover, plastic bags are foldable, portable, and space-saving. Thus, anyone who does activities which have a chance to get caught in the rain, bringing a plastic bag for covering your stuff is strongly recommended.
5️⃣ Power Bank and Charger ⚡️
Electrical breakdown is a common incident in heavy rain conditions, so it is a wise move to carry a power bank and charger around, just in case. Your phone dying while stucking in the rain is another possible scenario, so bringing a power bank and a charger is a lifesaver to keep connected to people when necessary.
6️⃣ Repellent 🦟
Rainy season has more mosquitoes than usual. It is possible to get bitten while waiting for a ride, waiting inside or outside of a building. Carrying a mosquito repellent around can protect you from mosquitoes and reduce risk of critical illness from mosquitoes. A mosquito repellent sachet is recommended as one of the essential items in your bag.
