As the semester break begins, many people might have plans for internships, traveling, or just relaxing. But today, NEXKY wants to suggest 4 interesting pieces of literature to read during the break. Each book offers a different genre, so you can explore and enjoy it during your time off. 📖
1️⃣ “The Country of Blind” is a short novel that makes us question the definition of disability. Does disability refer to individuals with physical limitations, or does it refer to those who are perceived as different by society? 👀
2️⃣ “Fandom for Robots” is a short Sci-Fi novel that transports us into the world where robots interact with a person who’s a fan of the novel, as if the robot has its own “thoughts” and “emotions”. What will happen in this story? Give it a read and find out! 🤖
3️⃣ “The Pearl” is a classic novel by John Steinbeck, written in simple yet beautiful language. It tells the story of a happy fishing family living along Mexico’s coastline. One day, they discovered a giant pearl of indeterminate value. They believed it would bring them wealth, but will it? Let’s find out together! 🌊
4️⃣ 《梁山伯与祝英台》or “The Butterfly Lovers” is one of the four most famous Chinese novels. The story is about “Zhu Ying” a girl who disguises herself as a boy to pursue education and unexpectedly falls in love with “Liang San”, a handsome young man. However, their love encounters various obstacles. Do they still hold onto their love in the end? We recommend reading it to find out! ❤️
NEXKY has suggested four wonderful pieces of literature to expand your horizons and help you relax. Give them a read and let’s discuss them together afterward! 📚
